New TECNA CEO Message
Hello TECNA Community,

“Whether you think you can, or you think you can’t – you’re right.” –Henry Ford.

This quote was brought to me by a dear friend a few years ago and has become a life motto of mine. It’s one of Henry Ford’s many quotes that is so simple but filled with great potential for action.

I am so honored to be here at TECNA and have been warmly welcomed by so many members. I truly love business association work – aiming to accomplish substantive change that will help business thrive and grow. We all are tasked with the goal of helping the technology industry succeed. I am committed to supporting all of you in serving your members by way of creating an environment for you to share best practices, cost saving opportunities and advocate for great public policy that benefits the tech ecosystem…and other ways yet to be determined!

By way of background, I spent eleven years at the Pittsburgh Technology Council where I participated in some of TECNA’s programs, specifically the Summer Conference in Waterloo in 2017 and the 2018 DC Fly-In. I am a strong proponent of benchmarking with peers and through the TECNA network have visited technology councils in Philadelphia, New Jersey, New York and Washington. I have personally benefitted from the value TECNA brings to its members and appreciate the many possible ways TECNA can provide value in the future.

I’m eager to get to know all of you! I want to learn about your priorities, your team, and your reasons for being a member of TECNA. What policy issues should TECNA be focusing on? How have you benefitted from TECNA’s offerings and what should TECNA provide in the future? I will be contacting you in the days/weeks to come to establish a time to meet and talk about all of these things and more.

So many of you have already told me you believe TECNA has the potential to continue to do all that it already does well and even more. Let’s work together to make that so.

I think we can!
