We have so much to be thankful for and God is moving mightily in the global Arts & Entertainment Industry that we want to start this week with an attitude of PRAISE. Thank you for your faithfulness, both with your prayers and your finances. You are the core of our ministry and we love you!! TED CHEN FORMED SERIES
We are praising God for HPN member and friend Ted Chen, who recently retired from NBC news to begin his journey in ministry! He just launched a new roundtable series called FORMED, which centers on discipling men. We are excited for Ted’s heart to encourage, pray for, empower and lift up men in our city and our world. And Ted’s series is produced by our very own Melody Heléna! We’re excited for her and look forward to the impact that it will have!

ALEX READ TAROT SHOCKS HER FOLLOWERS AS SHE BECOMES A CHRISTIAN
We ask that you pray for Influencer Alex Read, who comes out of the dark world of tarot cards and into the beautiful arms of Jesus. She got backlash and lost tens of thousands of her followers when she deleted all of her Tarot content on TikTok. But we know that the Lord will more than replace what the enemy is trying to steal from her. Let’s pray for Alex to fall more in love with Jesus every day.

DANNY GLOVER'S DIAGNOSIS
Please pray for Danny Glover, age 79, who was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease. He found out about it 3 years ago but just released the news publicly. Let’s pray that Danny finds Jesus during this difficult time and that he can find peace, love, a hope that does not disappoint him and salvation through his health struggles!

REMEMBERING SAM NEILL
A New Zealand actor Sam Neill, best known for his role as Alan Grant, the paleontologist in Jurassic Park, passed away last week in his home with his family around him. At 78, Sam was an iconic actor whose performances inspired audiences around the world. Let’s pray for Sam’s family, friends and fans who are mourning his loss. May they be touched by the loving hand of Jesus, who can draw them to Himself during their time of mourning. We want everyone to know the unconditional love of Jesus, even if it’s because of a death!

JAY-Z PERFORMS AT YANKEE STADIUM
Last Sunday night was a wild time in NYC as Jay-Z started his Extra Innings sold-out concert at midnight. The concert was delayed 3 hours because of a security breach at the gates, and the crowds were trapped outside for hours before finally being allowed to enter the stadium. It was worth the wait as Beyoncé, Rihanna and others appeared live with Jay-Z as surprise performers. Let’s pray for artists in the music world who are so famous that they can’t go anywhere without intense security, crowds, body guards and police. It’s a difficult life as they share their talent with the world.

EMMY NOMINATIONS ANNOUNCED JULY 8TH
We need to pray for all of the shows, the actors, directors, producers and writers of this year’s Emmy nominees. Check out this list and then please pray for God’s choice for the winners, and that the Lord touches the hearts of all of the nominees so that they can feel His love, comfort, hope and encouragement, regardless of whether they win or lose! The top three nominated shows are, The Pitt, Hacks and Widow’s Bay.

TOM CRUISE STEPS OUT OF HIS COMFORT ZONE IN DIGGER
Iconic action hero, Tom Cruise, is starring in Digger, the black comedy feature film directed by Alejandro González Iñárritu. Tom is transforming his face, and becoming someone we’ve never seen, with a thick southern accent, a pot belly and thinning hair. Let’s pray for the people creating this film, for Tom’s experience, and for the film's message and impact. We want Tom, currently the most famous actor in the world, to come to know the Lord. And your prayers make an eternal difference.

AUGUST 8TH
The International Christian Film Festival (ICFF) is hosting a one-day conference for Christians working in the entertainment industry on August 8, from 10:30 AM–4:00 PM at Calvary Bible Church in Burbank. The day will include worship, fellowship, networking, and encouraging sessions from entertainment industry leaders, including DeVon Franklin, Karen Covell, and other professionals from film, television, and media. Whether you work in the industry or simply have a heart for faith and entertainment, all are welcome. General admission is $30.

Miracle Makers International Film Festival
Miracle Makers International Film Festival, a faith and family friendly festival with intentionally open categories designed to bring people together through meaningful storytelling, returns September 2–6, 2026, at Regal in Newport Beach.
New this year is our partnership with EKKL Entertainment, offering a Streaming Distribution opportunity for the Top Feature Film winner, with Dave Mechem, Head of Acquisitions, joining as a featured speaker. Also speaking is Brad Silverman, Chief Content Officer at Kappa Studios.
