The Pre-Seed Builder Fund invests in and provides executive support to Maryland-based technology companies run by entrepreneurs who demonstrate economic disadvantage. The Builder Fund invests with the goal of helping companies reach meaningful milestones and becoming attractive investments to larger institutional investors.

TEDCO's SBIR/STTR Proposal Lab: Now accepting applications
TEDCO has opened the application process to select up to 25 companies to participate in the SBIR/STTR Proposal Lab to assist in their National Science Foundation (NSF) SBIR/STTR proposal submissions in 2021. The Proposal Lab runs from January 2021 until June 2021.

Opportunity Zone Microgrant Funding
The Department of Housing and Community Development (DHCD) through the Neighborhood Business Works (NBW) program is offering up to $500,000 of Opportunity Zone Microgrant ranging from $10,000 to $50,000 to early-stage businesses and/or businesses that are expanding within an opportunity zone in Maryland.
Applications to be accepted online starting November 17th, 2020, 12PM EST.

I recently engaged in an exercise that involved evaluating a list of 88 core values with a goal of identifying those that were the most important to me. While this might seem easy, the list contained some admirable qualities like respect, compassion, and fairness. While I always felt that certain values guided my life choices, I had never really considered examining and prioritizing those values.
