The behavioral health management company, which provides tech-based and in-person health care support for people with mental illness, will use the funding to grow two business lines “getting a lot of traction in the marketplace,” said CEO  Steve Sidel . A total of $3.5 million has closed so far as part of this bridge round, following earlier Series A and Series B rounds. It’s expected to bring the company’s total funding to about $12 million.

LifeSprout, a private company founded out of Johns Hopkins University, said Wednesday it closed on seed-stage financing to develop the first products using its Regenerative Matrix technology, which uses materials designed to look and feel like natural tissues. The injectable material is designed to prevent scarring.
