In response to the 2024 STAAR results, our primary development focus at TEKSbank for this school year is enhancing our constructed response items and Spanish translations. The data across the state showed us that our students need more support writing and taking assessments in Spanish. So, we will dedicate our resources to ensuring that our constructed response items across all content areas fit our Texas educators' needs and that our K-5 Spanish items are 1:1 with their English companions. Be on the lookout for these improvements throughout the school year! 

Over the summer, we undertook the initial realignment for our science and social studies content. This fall, we are diligently verifying, correcting, and removing items that no longer align with our standards. Also, we are adding new items to meet the updated standards, ensuring that our resources remain current and effective for educators and students alike.

Additionally, TEA is moving forward with including science cluster sets on the 2025 STAAR assessment. In response, we are currently developing cluster sets for TEKSbank and will be releasing them on a rolling basis throughout the school year. As these sets get closer to publication, we will send more information about how we developed them and where you can find them!
