August 21, 2023

Dear TEMSA Member:

We’re just a few months away from TEMSA’s 10th anniversary in 2024, and I am pleased to report that TEMSA continues to grow every year. Over the next few months, we will announce a number of new initiatives that will provide tangible results to your EMS agency.

EMS EVOLUTION 2024:

September 16-18 at the Texas A&M Hotel & Conference Center

We just wrapped up EMS EVOLUTION 2023, which was our largest annual conference to date. EMS EVOLUTION 2024 will feature even more useful topics that will be of great interest to many members of your team.

We’ll announce different pieces of the expanded agenda throughout this fall.

We had an terrific time at the Horseshoe Bay Resort over the past few years. However, it is time to start rotating around the state, and I am pleased to report that EMS EVOLUTION 2024 will be September 16-18, 2024, at the Texas A&M Hotel & Conference Center in College Station.

The hotel is a beautiful facility that will feature a great room rate and fun venues inside the hotel that will serve as outstanding avenues for networking.

EMS EVOLUTION brings the industry together, and we look forward to building on it at the Texas A&M Hotel & Conference Center.

The Texas EMS Industry Has Much to Accomplish: Join One of Our Committees

TEMSA is the hub for Texas EMS agencies. TEMSA not only serves as the stakeholder voice in the legislative and regulatory arenas, but TEMSA also brings EMS agencies together to enhance their EMS operations through educational opportunities.

TEMSA has accomplished much over the past decade, and it is time for “TEMSA 2.0” to help Texas EMS agencies through challenges related to their operations. I encourage you to join one of the committees below! Just reply to this e-mail.

The committees will be charged with developing tangible outcomes for Texas EMS agencies, and we look forward to watching them enhance the operations of Texas EMS agencies.

Celebrating TEMSA’s First Decade

A major thanks goes out to Brent Smith for his TEMSA leadership over the past two years. Brent guided TEMSA through two successful legislative sessions and helped lead the organization out of the challenging Covid-19 years. Brent ultimately set up TEMSA for success in the organization’s second decade.

Important Updates Early Next Week

Stay tuned for important updates from TEMSA later this month on the BCBS of Texas recoupment issue and the Texas EMS-Trauma and Emergency Healthcare System Performance Improvement Plan draft document.

Sincerely,
