Chamber Celebrates the
75th Annual Homecoming
Festival

July 19-22, 2017
This year marks the 75th anniversary of the Strongsville Homecoming Festival sponsored by the Strongsville Chamber of Commerce.  This event is made possible by the dedication of countless volunteers  who take time out of their  busy schedules to work at the Homecoming.  This is truly a community event and includes hundreds of people who attend the four day celebration.  We are very pleased to announce the "Light up Strongsville" fireworks show that will take place on Saturday night July 22, 2017.  The viewing of the fireworks will be best seen right from the commons.
The Homecoming begins at 3 p.m. on Wednesday and continues until midnight Saturday.  The big event for opening day will be the Homecoming parade on Pearl Road which will step off promptly at 6:30 p.m.  Plan on arriving early and securing a great seat for this event which will feature bigger and better floats than has ever been seen before.  After the parade join us on the commons for some great fellowship and enjoy rides, games, food and entertainment.  There will be live music all four nights of the event along with a continuous schedule of other great entertainment.
A big thanks also goes out to all of the Homecoming Sponsors who support this annual event.  Their generous participation allows for a true family celebration that is enjoyed by thousands of people and continues to grow year after year.  Please take note of all the sponsors and make sure you support them whenever possible.
Once again, I look forward to seeing all of you on the commons and the entire Homecoming Committee wishes to thank our hard working tent managers and all of their volunteers.  Without the hard work of this group it would be impossible to hold such a huge event.  Let's all get together and "Light up Strongsville" for four days and have a great time in our fine city.

A NOTE FROM MAYOR PERCIAK
The Strongsville Chamber of Commerce will again be serving as the host sponsor of Homecoming activities. I commend the Chamber and their continued commitment to the community of Strongsville and especially thank the Homecoming committee and the Board of Trustees for their dedication and hard work. I especially appreciate the effort put forth by the General Chairman, Tom Burichin, and Co-Chairman, Mike Kalinich. Many thanks to all the generous sponsors and many volunteers who support this family event.

Best wishes,

STUDENTS ARE HONORED

The Strongsville Chamber of Commerce awarded $42,000 this year in scholarships and donations. At the Chamber luncheon on May 16th, 20 students were awarded the Chamber of Commerce Scholarship. A donation was presented to Sts. Joseph and John School for their Media Center. The Chamber of Commerce also recognized the students that will be entering the military upon graduation. The source of funds for these scholarships is the Holiday Dance sponsored by the Chamber of Commerce, on the first Friday of each December.  This year's event is scheduled for Friday, December 1, 2017.

The Strongsville Chamber of Commerce is celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Scholarship Dance this year.  For the past several years, the Chamber has contributed the highest number of scholarships, with the highest dollar value, of any local organization.
