As mentioned in my prior email, our second board meeting, April 18, 2026, will take place in San Miguel de Allende, Guanajuato, Mexico — and all members are welcome to join us in one of my favorite towns.

✈️ Travel Tips
I recommend flying into Querétaro (QRO) or León (BJX) and arranging a car service to San Miguel de Allende.
- Viva offers nonstop flights on select days from San Antonio.
- United Airlines typically routes through Houston to Querétaro and/or Leon.
- American Airlines flies to Querétaro and Leon via Dallas.
- Both airports are modern, safe, and easy to navigate.

San Miguel does not have an airport, which is the reason you have to fly into Queretaro, or Leon and drive to San Miguel. The travel time from Queretaro and/or Leon to San Miguel is about 1 and a half hours to 1 hour and forty-five minutes. I have used this transportation service many times and you can either call or book through the website. You can book a van to share with others or travel solo. They will greet you at the airport with your name on a placard so you can identify them.

📱 Helpful Local Tips

Download WhatsApp—it’s the primary form of communication there.
- Upon arrival, withdraw pesos from an ATM with your debit card (easy and reliable). You can also buy pesos from your bank with advance request

Street taxis can take you anywhere in town for 60–80 pesos (about $3–4 USD).
- If you use a private driver, save their number and communicate via WhatsApp for pickups and reservations.
