News & Stuff from Your Favorite Farm!
 FROM THE EDITOR...

Hey, friends!

HAPPY FEBRUARY!

TGF is celebrating a special mid- month release this February with our new Stamp/Die set combos and the excitement is roaring!  Since our debut w/ these at CHA, up until now as they are being released to the public, I'm receiving some wonderful feedback from bloggers, crafty friends, and customers alike as well as our cherished retailers.

I think that people are SUPER excited about these and excited about the new direction that TGF is taking.   However, rest assured, those who love to color our 'signature' images that we will also be bringing you TONS more of those as well!  For as many emails and comments as we've received sharing the excitement of our new line, I've also received a handful wondering if this was the end or a sharp decline in our lovable characters and the answer is OF COURSE not!  We will still be bringing you our core line- Anyas, Sprouts, Creepers, and the like :)  We just wanted to branch out a bit and since dies are so hot right now, we wanted to offer some of our own!  Hooray!  They're finally here!

This got me to thinking- not just in the crafting arena, but in life as we know/live it...is it possible to go in a new direction and yet still keep a firm foundation?  The answer is YES.  I know that change is scary at times,  but personally (and I'm not talking stamps here anymore- I'm just kind of reflecting on what sparked this thought in my brain ;), I think it's scarier NOT to change.

February is the last month before Spring begins in late March.  Spring, to me, has always been a great time to make all things NEW.  So, hey!  We're a little ahead of the game :)  In the coming months, you'll be seeing some SUPER fun new things happening on the Farm and we hope you'll stay tuned for all of them in March with our new Guest Premiere Farmers, a new release, and some very exciting news in April.

As for me, I'm also going to take this last month before Spring begins and take the opportunity to embrace that NEW direction...all while keeping a firm foundation of who I am and what I stand for.   How about you?

Wishing you the BEST and the MOST....always....
xoxo,
Jess :)

"I have come to accept the feeling of not knowing where I am going. And I have trained myself to love it. Because it is only when we are suspended in mid-air with no landing in sight, that we force our wings to unravel and alas begin our flight. And as we fly, we still may not know where we are going to. But the miracle is in the unfolding of the wings. You may not know where you're going, but you know that so long as you spread your wings, the winds will carry you." ~ C. JoyBell C.
A new release that was simply to "die" for!

The Greeting Farm is moving in a NEW direction, and we are so excited to unveil what you may have seen bits and pieces of after CHA!  Yes, the rumors are true!  While TGF will still continue to bring you the cute characters you've come to know and love, I'm excited to share a new collection of clear stamp sets that come packaged with....drumroll...... MATCHING DIES!

We are very excited and happy with our new offering.  TGF took our time testing them until we found the perfect fit and we think you will love them!  They will work in any standard die cutting machine (Cuttlebug, Big Shot, Grand Calibur, etc.) and come tucked in with their matching stamp sets for an amazing price of only $10.50 per set!  Your papercrafting adventure just got a little more exciting, right?  The possibilities with these sets are endless as you will clearly see from not only our Showcase DT, but from our six talented Guest bloggers who joined us for this release!

Make it a GOOD night with this sweet customer feature from EMILY DeVLIEGER!

When I was growing up, I remember having several night lights.  My Dad used to take me along with him on shopping trips to a store called "Venture" which was much like a Target store.  I seemed to come home with one every time we went to the store.  I remember having a Care Bears nightlight- think it was one of my favorites!

I received this cute idea via email from Emily DeVlieger and decided to include it as our Customer Feature for February!

Here's a quick little "how to":

1. Stamp greeting farm image on vellum I used black memento ink. It does take a little while to dry. You can hurry it along with a heat gun.

2. Apply versamark ink to frame (I got my farm at michaels for a dollar) put embossing powder on the versamark. Emboss now apply versamark to your frame again. Have a red rubber stamp ready to apply images in the embossing. Heat a small area till the powder is melted press red rubber stamp in that area. Repeat until you are the whole way around frame. If you do not like simply heat again and the embossing powder will become molten again.
NOTE only use red rubber stamps as the clear ones will melt. I used Midnight Emerald Obsidian embossing powder from Lindy's Stamp Gang.

3. Color stamped image. I used Copic markers.

4. Measure and cut your image to fit in the frame and then glue it in.

5. Tie twine around bottom of frame for decoration.

6. Glue frame to nightlight ***NOTE: ONLY USE AN LED NIGHTLIGHT they do not get hot the other kinds of nightlights are not safe for this project. Use an LED nightlight with as flat of a front as you can find. I used a GE waterfall nightlight I found at my local grocery store. You may need to build up the glue till your frame can sit straight.

Such a sweet idea!   I have a little one begging her mama to try this out using the new Valentine's Anya :)  Just may have to!

Thanks again to EMILY and don't forget, guys, YOU can be featured in the TGF Newsletter as well as earn FREE STAMPS for your projects!  Thanks so much!

PREMIERE GUEST DESIGNER SEARCH '13 and Marie's "secret project" UPDATE!

We here at the Farm are some LUCKY ducks.  I have to say, this last Premiere/Guest DT search was not only our LARGEST call ever, but we had so many awesome applications, we not only filled our March Premiere Guest team, but also some monthly guest designers well into 2013 and we may have even more opportunities along the way!

We want to thank everyone for their patience, efforts, and creativity- you guys blew us away!

Marie wanted to let everyone know that the final selections are being made for the "secret project" DT she posted about on Facebook.  We are very excited about the upcoming plans for this and because of the overwhelming talents of you all combined with a mid-month release which we normally don't do, it's taking a little longer to decide!

Thanks, EVERYONE for your patience and willingness to share with us!  <3
