Recognizing COVID Heroes Among Us
Annual Awards Nominations
2020 has been a year of disruption and change for so many in so many ways. Consequently, we are adapting our Annual Awards to focus on businesses and individuals who have responded uniquely to the challenges presented by COVID-19.

Please help us recognize a business or person you know that has done something special to help others during the pandemic or who has changed their business model to find success in new ways. This could include making or distributing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), frontline workers, or anything else that is a positive response to the pandemic.

Winners will be recognized at our Virtual Annual Meeting on Friday, January 22nd from 12:00 – 1:00 PM.

MBTA to Hold Public Meetings
for Forging Ahead Effort
Challenged by unprecedentedly low ridership and lost fare revenue, the MBTA is facing a historic moment. Forging Ahead is the MBTA’s plan to preserve transit access and quality of service available to transit critical customers in response to changing ridership and demand as well as a projected budget gap resulting from the pandemic.

To gather public input into the process, the MBTA is holding 11 public meetings over Zoom (nine regional meetings, two system-wide meetings). You can join by computer, smartphone app, or telephone.
