Thank You for Supporting the Julio Martinez Memorial Fund Breakfast

Proudly Highlighting the Transformative Impact of Supportive & Supported Housing

On Thursday, June 12th, Acacia Network proudly hosted its annual Julio Martinez Memorial Fund (JMMF) Breakfast, bringing together community leaders, partners, and supporters to uplift the critical work of our Supportive Housing and Social Services Division, which serves more than 1,100 vulnerable individuals and families across New York City.

The event highlighted Acacia’s integrated approach to care, which ensures that individuals with complex needs can access the resources they need to remain housed and thrive independently. Our supportive and supported housing portfolio spans programs funded by OPWDD, OMH, DOHMH, HASA, and others, serving individuals living with serious mental illness, substance use disorders, chronic medical conditions, and HIV/AIDS.

During the inspirational morning event, guests heard from Acacia Network’s leadership, including Board Chairwoman Carmen J. Villa-Lugo, Esq., our CEO Lymaris Albors, and President Raul Russi, and we were honored to welcome Pascale Leone, Executive Director of the Supportive Housing Network of New York (SHNNY), as our keynote speaker. Pascale shared insights from her decades of experience in housing justice and public policy, emphasizing the urgent need to strengthen supportive housing across New York State.

One of the most powerful moments of the morning came from Mr. Gary Gray, a resident of our Promesa Homes Together scatter-site program, who shared his moving journey of recovery, stability, and renewed hope through supportive housing.

We thank all who joined us in support of our mission, as we continue working together to build healthier, stronger communities through housing, dignity, and care.
