Hello Friends!!!

This gorgeous March ski day, pictured above, was one of my most joyous days this season with a long-time client and friend. I sell my lifestyle and enjoy time skiing with my clients who become my good friends. And, yes, like playing golf, we can still talk deals on the lift. My new skis – perfectly named-TOTAL JOY by Head, just danced through the trees, bumps, and groomers. Who wouldn’t want to buy after a day on the mountain like this. We are so blessed!

Aspen really outdid itself this season with huge snowfalls in between a few dry spells, great ski entertainment, adding Shaun White’s first competition to the already world class X Games, and even “nite skiing” until 6pm as lifts stayed open later a few days in March when clocks sprang forward. Our grooming crews and lifties still make us the best ski area in America!

REAL ESTATE UPDATE

Our number of homes sold is very similar the last 2 years, but note the average price per sq ft is up about $1,000 showing average price has risen just under 40%!

Of course, we still see stunning sale prices on unlisted property. Our wealthy buyers are paying upwards of $5,000-$7,000 per square foot looking for the perfect “turnkey” product. If you price your product at a finished price, but it needs a full remodel (which could take up to two years), you will most likely not see those numbers. Although, remember getting over $4,000 per sq ft for the perfect location, NOT a remodeled home is at least 50% higher than even a few years ago….

New Jazz Aspen Snowmass home to open by end of year

The Paul Jazz Center above the Red Onion is being completed now by the nonprofit itself as the building shell was turned over to them in January and we hope it will open by Christmas, 2025. CLICK HERE

Tickets went on sale last Friday for Jazz Aspen Snowmass Café Summer Series. The concerts will take place on the rooftop at the Aspen Art Museum this summer with a line-up featuring musicians from across the globe. The series takes place over two weekends — July 27-29 and August 7-10. CLICK HERE

JAS ASPEN SNOWMASS JUNE EXPERIENCE

Jazz Aspen Snowmass (JAS) has just announced the initial artist and venue line-up for the JAS June Experience, taking place June 26-29 in downtown Aspen. The Experience will consist of multiple staggered shows daily, taking place at twelve different venues. CLICK HERE

Theatre Aspen announces 42nd anniversary summer programming

This year marks Theatre Aspen’s 42nd season, and the lineup includes three mainstage productions: Driving Miss Daisy (June 12–28), Mamma Mia! (July 5–August 2), and Million Dollar Quartet (August 8–23). The summer programming wraps with the sixth annual Solo Flights festival of one-person shows, which runs Sept. 2–7. Theatre Aspen is also continuing its popular Summer Cabaret Series at Hotel Jerome and will present two productions through its Education program. CLICK HERE
