From A Pastoral Perspective

The end of the year is a time for church planning. Leaders should have submitted their budgets for 2025. Meeting with your ministry members will be an important step in planning our events for the year. The official church calendar will be completed at the Ministry Leaders meeting tentatively scheduled for January 11 at 11:30 am.

Christmas is traditionally considered the “Season of Giving.” However, supporting Christ’s Kingdom’s agenda is not seasonal. We did “Do More In 2024,” but our vision is “Still Alive in 2025.”

There will be two major church priorities for 2025. The first is to pay off our church loan, which originally totaled approximately $1,670,000. Our current balance is a little over $70,000. If we continue our regular budget amount, we will be debt-free by the 4th of July.

However, consider this. If 150 members gave a one-time special donation of $500 above their tithes and offerings, our debt could be paid in full immediately. This would allow us to move forward with our second priority, which is our kitchen renovation.

Our second priority includes the advent of our after-school program, community food pantry, and the upgrading of our Manna Ministry. As our pastor often says, the church is the community, and the community is the church. We are in Unionville to serve the people. The overall goal is to seek and save those who are lost.

Yes, God can provide through various methods to supply what is needed to serve. But more often than not, He uses His people to bless others
