Chassis #43 was found in unrestored condition in a lockup near Jacksonville, FL while #44 was undergoing restoration by Mercedes-Benz Classic of Irvine, California.
This was an opportunity that would never come again and the discovery was videoed in detail by Gemstone Productions of Jacksonville. Some of that video went to the Mercedes-Benz Classic Center.
