Get To Know Your 2020-2021 REB!!
Which Superhero Would You Be The Sidekick To?
By: Sarah Hasson
2020-2021 Seaboard President
Class of 2021, Olam Tikvah USY
Hi Seaboard! My name is Sarah and I’m your regional president for 2020-21! I would definitely be the sidekick to Spider-Man because I feel like his job is the most fun, with his web-slinger and ability to swing around New York. Also, I want Spider-Man to be my friend, so it’s a win-win situation.
What Superhero Would Your Mentor Be?
By: Rachel Friedman
2020-2021 Seaboard Israel Affairs Vice President
Class of 2021, Olam Tikvah USY
Hi Seaboard! My name is Rachel and I’m your Exec and Israel Affairs VP. If I were a superhero, I would choose Iron Man to be my mentor.
What is Your Favorite Villian?
By: Avi Scheinberg
2020-2021 Seaboard Religion & Education Vice President
Class of 2021, Agudas Achim USY
Hi, my name is Avi Scheinberg and I am the 2020-2021 Seaboard USY Religion/Education Vice President. I’ve been asked to share my favorite supervillain, which is actually a tie between Black Manta and Reverse Flash. Black Manta is Aquaman’s arch enemy, and has a really cool suit that lets him shoot lasers and missiles. He also has harpoons and is great at close up combat, especially with knives. In short, Black Manta is one of the coolest and most underrated villains. Reverse Flash is the flash, but with reversed suit coloring. He has a yellow suit with red lightning, in contrast to the Flash, who has a red suit with yellow lightning. He has super speed which is a very underrated superpower since it lets him not only run super fast, but gives him the abilities to heal fast, throw lightning, vibrate so fast he can phase through solid objects, and literally run through time.
What Superhero Would Your Mentor Be?
By: Sarah Klemow
2020-2021 Seaboard Social Action/Tikkun Olam Vice President
Class of 2021, Shaare Torah USY
Hi Seaboard! My name is Sara Klemow and I’m your Social Action/Tikkun Olam Vice President. My superhero mentor would be Starlord from Guardians of the Galaxy because our training sessions would have very good music.
Would You Rather Be A Superhero Or Villain?
By: Matt Rosenthal
2020-2021 Seaboard Membership/Kadima Vice President
Class of 2022, B’nai Shalom of Olney
Hi Seaboard! I’m Matt Rosenthal, your 2020/2021 Mem/Kad. I would rather be a villain than a superhero. A villain tends to have an interesting storyline. If I were a villain if would want to have an interesting background so the audience could relate to me in some way.
If you were a superhero would you want people to know your personal identity?
By: Grace Hessberg
2020-2021 Seaboard Communications Vice President
Class of 2021, Beth-El Richmond
Hey Seaboard! I am Grace Hessberg- your 2020-2021 Communications VP! If I was a superhero, I would like my immediate family to know I was a superhero, but not the rest of the world. This would allow me to take breaks and feel safe knowing that you couldn't easily find me, while still not having to lie to my family about where I was and what I was doing.

What Would Be The First Thing You Would Do If You Were a Superhero?
By: Danielle Lipp, Beth El Durham USY
Class of 2023, BEDUSY Israel Affairs VP, Seaboarder Editor
Hi Seaboard! My name is Danielle Lipp, and I am one of the Seaboarder editors. I live in Durham NC, I am a member of Beth El Durham, and I am a sophomore at C.E. Jordan high school. I am super excited to work with some amazing people this year! The first thing I would do if I were a superhero would be, to test out my new powers, and learn how to properly use them.
Favorite Superhero?
By: Hannah Markov, Beth El Bethesda
Class of 2021, Seaboarder Editor, Athletics Committee
Hi Seaboard! I’m Hannah Markov, one of the Seaboarder editors and a member of the athletic committee. I live in Bethesda, MD, and am a member of Beth El Bethesda. I’m also a rising senior at Walter Johnson High School. I can’t wait for all the great events planned for this year! My favorite superhero is Black Widow because she is confident, funny, and Russian (like me).
