Dear Daves Avenue Families,
In addition to the delightful sunshine and showers this week, our Cool Cats of all ages are busy learning, exploring, and creating! Prior to our Spring Recess, the Daves Avenue community rallied together to donate items for hygiene kits to support the underserved in our community. We successfully assembled hundreds of kits and kindness notes which will help brighten the lives of others in months to come. Way to go, Cool Cats!

Join us for a night out to celebrate Dave’s Ave Elementary School. The annual Cool Cat Auction is a time for our incredible community to gather and raise important funds for our school.

The Daves Auction Committee is soliciting donations for our upcoming Auction in April. If you have a pair of tickets, an unused gift card, or other fun items/experiences to share for our upcoming Silent Auction, please reach out to: bob_lapcevic@yahoo.com
Also, please consider donating a nice bottle of wine to the auction’s wine pull (should be a $30+ bottle that you would give as a gift). Not a wine collector? We are also in need of small value gift cards ($25-$60) to give as prizes during the auction’s shot pull. Contact Jessica Johnson via email (jessicakjohnson@mac.com) or text 408-410-1399. She will pick up your donations at drop off/pick up or from your porch OR you can drop donations on her porch in downtown LG if that is more convenient.

Los Gatos Town is hosting their annual 'Spring Into Green Event' April 24th from
10am-1pm on Main St. between Santa Cruz & University. Show your support for the Earth by riding your bike downtown to the Farmers Market and then check out the various earth education booths. There will be a bike valet manned by the Complete Streets Commission to help keep your bike secure.
Safe Routes to School (SR2S) will have a booth offering free helmet fitting plus helmet and general bike information. Additionally there will be a Bicycle Course for young riders, they can use their own wheels or we will have balance bikes and scooters available to borrow. We are looking for volunteers to help man the bike course - shifts are for 1 hour and anyone 13 years old + can sign up to help us out.
