PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE
Dear Daves Avenue Families, 

It’s been an amazing week on campus! Our 2nd and 5th grade students participated in the Daves Avenue Olympics. This is an example of a Project Based Learning (PBL) experience where the students spent months learning about Olympics, sportsmanship, and cooperation. The students hosted the event, competed as athletes, and were spectators. Congratulations, Olympians! 

Important reminders this week:
Tropic Nights ~ Our school auction is this SATURDAY! It’s not too late to purchase your ticket(s)! Also, thank you to all families who have contributed time and items to make this event a huge success! 
Yearbook ~ The deadline to order a yearbook is May 3!  Additional information is listed below. 
Author’s Day ~ This event was a HUGE success! Thank you to our amazing librarian, Mrs. Shannon Hawkes and Mr. Eric Kimmel. It was a fabulous day! 
Open House~Save the date for Thursday, May 5, from 6:00-7:00 P.M.
