PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE
Dear Cool Cat Families, 

It is with great excitement that I welcome new and returning families to the 2021-22 school year at Daves Avenue! I am thrilled to welcome students to campus next week! 
The Cool Cat Staff and our Home & School Club Board are looking forward to making this a spectacular year for all students. For new families, here is a New Parent Companion Handbook for your reference and I will be hosting a new parent orientation via Zoom this Sunday, August 8th. If you are a returning family and would like to join the fun, you are more than welcome!

TK and Kindergarten families will be receiving early bird/late bird and teacher assignments tomorrow for planning and childcare purposes. Classroom assignments for grades 1-5 will be emailed and posted outside of the MultiPurpose Room during the Ice Cream Social on Wednesday, August 11, at 6:00 P.M. Please read the 2021-22 Back to School Save the Date flyer carefully!
For now, enjoy these last few days of summer! This will PAWSitively be an awesome school year!

H&SC PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE
Dear Daves Avenue Families,

I trust you all had an awesome summer break with your loved ones!

On behalf of the Home & School Club (H&SC), I’d like to extend a very warm welcome to our returning families and to our new Daves Avenue families. We are super thrilled about the 2021-2022 school year and can’t wait to meet you all and share exciting new activities planned for our kids and you as we plan a safe return back to the new normal.

As a fairly new resident within Los Gatos and the Daves Avenue Community - my family and I could experience the love, care and resilience of this amazing community over the last 18 months. Our two girls, Indira (Incoming Fifth Grader) and Maya (Incoming Third Grader) had an amazing school year and felt really “at home” and loved their new school and the community. The girls had a big move from Sydney, Australia to the US just before the global crisis and we are so grateful to this community for helping us settle nicely to our new home!

I feel honored to be a part of this amazing community and I am looking forward to serving you and this community as your H&SC President, in what is going to be a fun and exciting 2021-2022.
