Improve your Employee Recruitment and Retention Efforts

Manufacturing Member's Wage Survey

Looking to see if your company is on par with the industry when it comes to wages offered to staff?

Look no further - The 2022 wage survey is here!

Evaluate your offerings! This survey compiles information on wages, providing a valuable snapshot that can help refine your employee recruitment and retention plan.

Avoid costly mistakes! Conducting comparisons on any position helps you drill down to identify where there might be areas to strengthen your retention strategy.

The report will be sent at no cost to all BAMA manufacturers who participate.

The goal of Manufacturing Day is to inspire the next generation of manufacturers. Held annually on the first Friday in October with events that continue throughout the year, Manufacturing Day priorities as listed by the Manufacturing Institute are to:

  • Change the perception of careers in manufacturing to reflect its true status as the most advanced, high-tech industry in the country.
  • Re-establish the U.S. as the global leader in manufacturing education.
  • Advocate for education and job training policies that strengthen the U.S. manufacturing workforce.

The goal is to help manufacturers build a steady pipeline of qualified and diversified manufacturing talent to help build and support local economies for decades to come.

How Cloud Computing can Help your Business Save Money

Are you looking for ways to save money on your business expenses? If so, cloud computing may be the answer. Cloud computing can help you reduce your IT costs while still providing the benefits of a robust IT infrastructure. Here are a few ways that cloud computing can help your business save money.

Reduce or eliminate the need for on-site servers and storage:

As businesses increasingly move to Cloud-based solutions, the need for on-site servers and storage is diminishing. Cloud-based applications are more reliable and easier to manage than on-premises solutions, and they offer a number of other benefits as well. For example, Cloud-based solutions can be accessed from anywhere with an internet connection, making it easy for employees to work remotely.

Decrease software licensing costs:

Cloud-based software is becoming increasingly popular, as it offers a number of advantages over traditional licensed software. Perhaps the most significant advantage is that it can help to decrease software licensing costs. With cloud-based software, you pay a monthly subscription fee rather than purchasing a license outright. This can save you money in the long run, as you will only be paying for the software that you actually use. READ MORE

Valley Bank CEO on Florida: 'It's all booming, and it’s growing in the right way'

Valley Bank CEO Ira Robbins reflected on the bank’s entrance to the Florida market in 2014 while visiting Tampa Bay this week, saying the region’s continued growth justifies the millions of dollars the bank has poured into the state.

The New Jersey-based bank saw the state as a viable alternative to the Northeast marketplace and aimed to build out a third of the franchise here, he said. Now, Valley Bank’s Florida footprint accounts for 40% of the entire organization’s $43 billion in assets, with over 1,000 employees and 50 locations throughout the state.
