Buda Fun Fish
At Bradfield Park Pond

We hope you can make it to Buda Fun Fish at Bradfield Village Park Pond on Saturday, June 8. The event is free admission for all ages and no prior fishing experience is required.You can also enter the "Fishing Derby" for a chance to win a coveted prize pack! Main Street Improvement Project
I n mid to late June, the Main Street Improvement Project between Cabela’s Drive and Railroad Street will begin. When we get closer to an official start date the City will share additional information, including any detours or possible closures. The first phase of construction will include the installation of a traffic signal at Main Street and E. Loop St./Sequoyah near the Municipal Complex.

Friends of the Buda Library
Short Story Contest
For Adults
The  Friends of the Buda Library  is proud to present its Eighth Annual Short Story Writing Contest for Adults. This contest is open to non-professional writers aged 17 and up. This contest is a Friends of the Buda Library Fundraiser. Short story entries must be 4,000 words or less, in English, double spaced in 12-point font and submitted with entry fee to the Buda Public Library. Deadline is June 28 at 5 p.m.

Summer Contest
For Young Writers
It’s once again time for the  Friends of the Buda Library  Summer Contest for Young Writers. The contest is open to all writers between the ages of 8 to 17.

South Main Music Nights
Downtown Buda  is once again hosting "South Main Music Nights" this summer! The free concert series takes place at  Buda Mill & Grain Co.  on June 6, June 20, July 18, and August 1. It runs from 7:30 PM to 9:30 PM. So grab your lawn chairs and picnic blankets and bring the family out!  El Ochete kicks things off on June 6. We will be announcing the rest of the music line up soon.

Water Meter Installation and Replacement
About a month ago the City of Buda began the process of installing and replacing the City’s water meter system. You will see workers out and about in your neighborhoods over the next couple of months. Crews will finish up the remaining installations in mid June.
We have created a separate page on our website with additonal information on the water meter replacement and installation.

With so many construction projects happening we decided to create a page on our website dedicated to construction updates. You can find it at  ci.buda.tx.us/budaconstruction. We will keep this page updated and continue to post updates on our social media channels. Construction updates are also running on the monitors in the lobby of the Municipal Building.
