Happy New Year!
Happy New Year! Here's to an awesome 2020!

2019 Year in Review
From completing bond projects to new schools opening in Buda, it was another busy year for the City. Communications Director David Marino takes a look back at 2019.

Christmas Tree Recycling
Texas Disposal Systems
Unflocked Christmas trees will be picked up curbside on regularly scheduled green waste pick-up days. Trees must be clear of décor, cut into 4’ pieces and set outside at the curb. They will be brought to a collection station and ground into mulch.

Christmas Light Recycling
The City of Buda is here to help you get rid of any old, broken, or unwanted Christmas Lights! Until Friday, Jan. 10, you can drop off your Christmas lights in a box/container or bundled up for recycling. Please drop off the lights outside the Buda Public Library entrance inside the Municipal Building located at 405 E. Loop St. We have provided a plastic drop-off bin just outside the library entrance. Hopefully, this will help organize your decorations and start off the new year while being environmentally friendly!

Buda Count: Census 2020

By April 1, 2020, every home will receive an invitation to participate in the 2020 Census. Once the invitation arrives, you should respond for your home in one of three ways: online, by phone, or by mail. Accurate counts impact federal funding levels and representation in the state and federal level.

For more information on the 2020 Census and the importance of being counted, please visit  2020census.gov or www.ci.buda.tx.us/budacounts .

The Buda City Council has established a Complete Count Committee (CCC) for the City of Buda. CCC's are volunteer committees whose purpose is to increase awareness and motivate residents to respond to the 2020 Census.

AGE of Central Texas

Chronic Disease
Self-Management Program
The Area Agency on Aging of the Capital Area and the Buda Task Force on Aging have teamed up for a Chronic Disease Self-Management Program. There is no cost, but class size is limited.
