Buda City Council
To Establish Complete Count Committee
The 2020 Census is on the horizon! The Buda City Council will establish a Complete Count Committee (CCC) for the City of Buda. CCCs are volunteer committees whose purpose is to increase awareness and motivate residents to respond to the 2020 Census.

If you are interested in serving on this committee, please complete and submit your application by Friday, Nov. 15, 2019, to be considered for appointment at the November 19, 2019 City Council meeting.

Veterans Day Holiday
All city offices, including the Buda Public Library, are closed on Monday, Nov. 11, 2019 in observance of Veterans Day. 
Veterans Day Parade
In Downtown Buda
Come out Saturday, Nov. 9 at 10 AM in Downtown Buda to honor our veterans at the Buda VFW Post 12161 Veterans Day Parade. Main Street between China and San Antonio will be closed during the parade. Main Street will close about 9:55 and will open immediately after the parade is over.

Nov. 5 General Election
The votes in the November 5 General Election will be canvassed on November 19.

Here are the unofficial results (until votes are canvassed) for Single Member District C (formerly Place 2):
Terry Cummings - 63.73%
Jeffrey K. Morales - 36.27%

Ms. Cummings will be sworn-in on December 3.

Downtown Buda Businesses Recognized
Winners for the 2019 Texas Downtown Association (TDA) President’s Awards were recently announced, and Main Street Buda walked away with several awards.

Old Goforth Road Construction Update
Old Goforth Road is now open to traffic, pedestrians, and bikes! Smith Contracting Company finished the project on Saturday. Thank you for your patience during construction.
City Park Update
Buda’s new City Park is truly taking shape and is visually striking from above. A complete collaborative effort with the City’s Public Works crews, our Architect from Design Works and The Barr Company! City Park is expected to be finished in Spring of 2020.
Main Street Improvement Project
Rm 967 and Main Street
TxDOT and local contractor Lone Star Sitework will begin heavy construction on the FM 967 and Main Street Improvement Project next week. Check out the video for an overview of the project.

Trail of Lights
At Stagecoach Park
Trail of Lights at Stagecoach Park opens to the public on Friday, December 6. Trail of Lights is a free holiday event that features lighted and decorated displays that are provided by local businesses and organizations. Visitors are able to walk the lighted trail in the park to view the dazzling exhibits, sip hot chocolate, and meet Santa himself. Starting on Friday, Nov. 1, the main parking lot at Stagecoach Park will be closed for Trail of Lights set-up. However, the parking lot by Clint's Cabin will still be accessible.

We will keep this page updated and continue to post updates on our social media channels. Construction updates are also running on the monitors in the lobby of the Municipal Building.
