across the City and its ETJ (Extraterritorial Jurisdiction), including private property that impacts a Protected, Signature, or
Heritage Tree.

Colony at Cole Springs Development
Public Hearings Update
The scheduled public hearings for the Zoning and MUD Consent Agreement related to the Colony at Cole Springs Development (case numbers DA 19-01 and Z 20-01) have been cancelled. The public hearings had been scheduled during the Planning and Zoning Commission meeting on Jan. 28 and during the City Council meeting on Feb. 4. The hearings will be re-notified and we will let you know when the new dates have been set.

If you would like to know more about the project, the developers for the Colony at Cole Springs Development are doing a presentation before City Council during a workshop at the Feb. 4 council meeting. The workshop starts at 5:30 p.m. in City Council Chambers.

Chronic Disease
Self-Management Program
The Area Agency on Aging of the Capital Area and the Buda Task Force on Aging have teamed up for a Chronic Disease Self-Management Program. There is no cost, but class size is limited.

Buda Count: Census 2020

By April 1, 2020, every home will receive an invitation to participate in the 2020 Census. Once the invitation arrives, you should respond for your home in one of three ways: online, by phone, or by mail. Accurate counts impact federal funding levels and representation in the state and federal level.

For more information on the 2020 Census and the importance of being counted, please visit  2020census.gov or www.ci.buda.tx.us/budacounts .

The Buda City Council has established a Complete Count Committee (CCC) for the City of Buda. CCC's are volunteer committees whose purpose is to increase awareness and motivate residents to respond to the 2020 Census.

City of Buda
Pet Registration Information
Buda City Council recently approved changes to the pet registration ordinance. Instead of a yearly pet registration, Buda Animal Control has now moved to a lifetime pet registration. Currently, there is no cost to register your pet through September 30, 2020.

Downtown Construction Shifts to West Side
