Main Street Improvement Project
Rm 967 and Main Street
On Monday, Oct. 28, TxDOT and local contractor Lone Star Sitework will begin construction on the FM 967 and Main Street Improvement Project. Lone Star Sitework plans to mobilize on Friday, Oct. 25 with traffic control signage and barricades.

Boo-Da Halloween
Are you ready for a scary good time? Boo-Da Halloween is Saturday, October 26. Festivities will include various costume contests, a brand new haunted maze, and monster-ous amounts of candy. Keep in mind, Main Street between FM 967 and San Antonio Street will close at 3:00 p.m. and reopen at 8:00 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 26. The intersection of Main Street and FM 967 will remain OPEN throughout the event.

Baylor Scott & White
Community Open House
On Saturday, Oct. 26, the Baylor Scott & White Medical Center in Buda is holding a community open house. Enjoy FREE fun for the entire family, including your dog. Baylor Scott & White will have all kinds of interactive booths and lots of giveaways.

Main Street Improvement Project
(Between Cabela's Drive and Railroad St.)
Cox Commercial Construction promptly began the cutting and excavation of Buda’s Main Street between Bradfield Park and Hawk Lane Wednesday evening. Ultimately, Eleven 9’x5’ box culverts will be as part of flood management improvements for the the future.
Old Goforth Road Construction Update
Striping/painting on the roadway has been delayed until Friday, Oct. 25. Old Goforth is anticipated to fully open after the striping is done. It may open on Friday, over the weekend, or early next week. We will keep you updated. The City’s contractor, Smith Construction, laid asphalt on the west side of the road over the weekend.
Update on GrubTubs Inc. Complaint Process
Update on GrubTubs Inc. Complaint Process - Oct. 23, 2019: The City of Buda is continuing to receive complaints from neighbors of the GrubTubs’ facility. To date, the City’s Code Enforcement division has fielded 292 resident complaints and the City’s Municipal Court has received 44 resident complaints alleging criminal nuisance.
Scam Alert
The City of Buda continues to experience a scam involving a caller who is telling residents there is “fraudulent activity” as well as “outstanding tickets” and is asking for immediate compliance.

Nov. 5 General Election
Information
Early voting for the Nov. 5 General Election runs through Friday, November 1. During early voting and on Election Day Hays County Citizens can vote at any polling location in Hays County.

New Hays County Voting Machines
Hays County voters will have brand new voting machines for the November 2019 elections, and residents are welcome to try them out in advance by stopping by any precinct office during regular business hours until early voting begins this fall.

Transportation & Mobility Master Plan
Online Survey Deadline EXTENDED - Nov. 1, 2019
Tell us what you think! Share your input on Buda’s transportation system through our online mapping exercise and survey. The deadline to take the survey has been EXTENDED through Nov. 1, 2019.

Fun and Crafts
Join the fun as the City of Buda and the Buda Public Library celebrate Texas Arbor Day by offering the community two engaging events. Come to Green Meadows Park on Friday, Nov. 1, 2019 at 10 a.m. for a tree planting ceremony, then pop by the Buda Public Library from 3-5 p.m. for exciting activities such as tree and nature art, face painting, and more.
