Green Meadows Splash Pad
Grand Opening Celebration
Come celebrate the official grand opening of the Green Meadows Splash Pad with us on Saturday, June 1 from 10 AM to Noon. There will be bounce houses, interactive games, Kona Ice, other vendors, and more!
The City of Buda received great news as SB 483 was approved by the Texas Legislature. The bill modifies outdated rules that state that only native Edwards Aquifer water can pass through the Edwards Aquifer for storage in another aquifer formation.
TxDOT is working to use an existing concrete repair contract to make the needed repairs to FM 150 at Double Crossing. The work is expected to be completed by the end of July. In the meantime, Hays County officials are asking drivers to exercise patience and not cross the barricades.
Houston Street Drainage Project UPDATE
Houston Street, between Railroad Street and Cedar Street, will be closed to all through traffic during the Houston Street Drainage Improvement project. The closure begins on May 16. The intersection of Rose and Railroad will also close starting on May 29. Detour signs will be up in the area.
Downtown Buda is once again hosting "South Main Music Nights" this summer! The free concert series takes place at Buda Mill & Grain Co. on June 6, June 20, July 18, and August 1. It runs from 7:30 PM to 9:30 PM. So grab your lawn chairs and picnic blankets and bring the family out! El Ochetekicks things off on June 6. We will be announcing the rest of the music line up soon.
By the way, we hope you can make it to Buda Fun Fish at Bradfield Village Park Pond on Saturday, June 8. The event is free admission for all ages and no prior fishing experience is required.You can also enter the "Fishing Derby" for a chance to win a coveted prize pack! Water Meter Installation and Replacement
About a month ago the City of Buda began the process of installing and replacing the City’s water meter system. You will see workers out and about in your neighborhoods over the next couple of months. crews will continue working in Old Town, Sequoyah, Bradfield Village, Ashford Park, and Bonita Vista.

Thanks to everyone who came out to the 1st Annual Heroes Challenge Red and Blue Softball Game. The game helped raise funds for The Hays-Caldwell Women’s Center and Hays Co Food Bank. Congrats to the Buda Police Officers Association for taking the win.
