Texas Arbor Day
Fun and Crafts
Join the fun as the City of Buda and the Buda Public Library celebrate Texas Arbor Day by offering the community two engaging events. Come to Green Meadows Park on Friday, Nov. 1, 2019 at 10 a.m. for a tree planting ceremony, then pop by the Buda Public Library from 3-5 p.m. for exciting activities such as tree and nature art, face painting, and more.

Transportation & Mobility Master Plan
Online Survey Deadline EXTENDED - Nov. 1, 2019
Tell us what you think! Share your input on Buda’s transportation system through our online mapping exercise and survey. The deadline to take the survey has been EXTENDED through Nov. 1, 2019.

Nov. 5 General Election Information
Early voting for the Nov. 5 General Election runs through Friday, November 1. During early voting and on Election Day Hays County Citizens can vote at any polling location in Hays County.

Old Goforth Road Construction Update
Smith Construction, the City's contractor, says they expect to do the striping of the road this weekend. The weather has delayed them a few times. The contractor began removing barrier, debris, and unused construction materials from the northern corner of Old Goforth last week. We will share more information when we have a firm opening date for Old Goforth.
Main Street Improvement Project
Rm 967 and Main Street
TxDOT and local contractor Lone Star Sitework will begin construction on the FM 967 and Main Street Improvement Project. Check out the video for an overview of the project.

Paying It Forward
Buda's Brightside
Our community is all about giving back. The City's "Paying It Forward Is A Budaful Thing" series focuses on the people and organizations doing great things in Buda! This time around we are featuring  Buda's Brightside , a non-profit for adults with developmental disabilities.
Texas Downtown Association's Presidents Awards
Congratulations to Thatcher Natural Home Offerings on winning Best Commercial Interior in the Texas Downtown Association President's Awards for a population under 50k. Meanwhile, The Budaful Hiker won Best Downtown Business for a population under 50k, and Assemblage Contemporary Craftsman Gallery at Buda Mill & Grain Co. won a People's Choice Award.
Trail of Lights
At Stagecoach Park
Trail of Lights at Stagecoach Park opens to the public on Friday, December 6. Trail of Lights is a free holiday event that features lighted and decorated displays that are provided by local businesses and organizations. Visitors are able to walk the lighted trail in the park to view the dazzling exhibits, sip hot chocolate, and meet Santa himself. Starting on Friday, Nov. 1, the main parking lot at Stagecoach Park will be closed for Trail of Lights set-up. However, the parking lot by Clint's Cabin will still be accessible.

Scam Alert
The City of Buda continues to experience a scam involving a caller who is telling residents there is “fraudulent activity” as well as “outstanding tickets” and is asking for immediate compliance.

We will keep this page updated and continue to post updates on our social media channels. Construction updates are also running on the monitors in the lobby of the Municipal Building.
