Buda Lions Club
Annual Wiener Dog Races
We will have plenty of four-legged visitors over the weekend. The Annual Buda Lions Club Wiener Dog Races are Saturday, April 27 and Sunday, April 28. The Buda Lions Club is shuttling people from Cabela's. The shuttles will be in the Harley Davidson lot located behind Cabela's. There is limited parking north of Buck's Backyard.

Old Goforth Road Closure
Old Goforth Road from FM 2001 to Stone Crest Blvd. will remain closed in both directions. From Stonecrest Blvd. south to Hillside Terrace, only the southbound lanes of Old Goforth are open. These closures will remain in place for the time being. We will keep you updated with any changes on our social media channels and on our website.

Work continues on the Oxbow Neighborhood Drainage Improvements project. Work will now shift to Bullwhip Pass. Starting Wednesday, May 1, Bullwhip Pass will be closed between Oxbow Trail and RM 967 until approximately June 12. Concurrently, Oxbow Trail will re-open north of RM 967. Access will be allowed to residential properties for the duration of the project.
Buda Fun Fish
Buda Fun Fish is just around the corner! Come on out to the Bradfield Park Pond on Saturday, June 8, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. There will be FREE snacks and beverages, along with FREE admission! If you would like to volunteer at Buda Fun Fish you can attend a volunteer training on Saturday, April 27 at Cabela's from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. We have provided information in the link below.

Water Conservation
As part of the City’s continued effort to conserve water, the City of Buda has partnered with LCRA and Texas A&M AgriLife Extension to provide customers with a weekly recommendation on how much water to apply to their lawn. Water My Yard will help determine exactly how much to water based on scientific weather instrumentation located in Buda.

Water Meter Installation and Replacement
About a month ago the City of Buda began the process of installing and replacing the City’s water meter system. You will see workers out and about in your neighborhoods over the next couple of months. Installation this week is finishing up in Cullen Country and Garlic Creek. Work will now begin in the Creekside neighborhood.

We have created a separate page on our website with additonal information on the water meter replacement and installation.
