Hi Families!

We hope you had an amazing week!

Thank you to all of the families who came out to our ice cream social! We had an absolute blast and can't wait to continue to spend more time with you!

Our operations and leadership teams are back in the building and ready to kick off the school year! This week, we welcome our new teachers to the hive for two weeks of professional development!

We have our two mandatory events coming up that you should mark your calendars for and RSVP! (See below in the newsletter)

Lastly, please complete the mandatory survey below that will help us finalize our rosters for the 2023 - 2024 school year. The purpose of this survey is to ensure that we can capture any changes that may have happened over the summer for families who have accepted a seat OR for our returning families who previously indicated that their family would be returning for the 2023 - 2024SY.

This data will help us ensure that any available seats are given to the families who are currently still on the waitlist and eager to be accepted.

If you have any questions, or if there is anything we can do to make your return to school easier, please feel free to reach out to our Director of Operations, Terri Knox at [email protected].

The count down is on!

15 days left of Summer Break!

Family and Student Handbook

Are you interested in learning about all of our policies for students and families? As a parent, it is imperative that you are aware/familiar with our policies so that you and your family will have the most up to date information and make the most informed decisions for your familiy. Additionally, we would love your feedback. As a collectivist community, we value your feedback!

We are happy to provide a link to our handbook! If you have feedback or any questions about anything in our handbook, please reach out to our Director of Operations, Terri Knox at [email protected]!

Lost & Found at DBA!

We know our students may misplace items every now and then, and we want to be sure they make it home again.

Follow us on our lost and found instagram page where we post items daily that may have been lost. We will only post items that do not have scholar names in them. So, here is your friendly reminder to write your scholars name on everything! Especially jackets and sweaters.

How does it work?

When lost items are delivered to the front desk without a name on the inside we prepare the item to be posted on our lost & found instagram page. Parents browse the page daily and only have to comment thier scholars name and homeroom to claim the item. All items are donated to shelters after two weeks in the lost and found. Please be sure to follow the page on instagram prior to the start of school!

If you are arriving from Wesley Chapel, you will only be able to make a right into the far entrance near the YMCA, follow the traffic flow, and merge into the car lane.

It is important that you remain in your cars as we are amongst a 4 lane intersection and a shopping plaza. Every family will receive two (2) copies of the carpool tag. Please place your car lane tag in your dashboard for dismissal. Families who do not have car lane tags will have to pull to the verification station and present photo ID.

  • All cars will only be able to make a right turn to exit.

If you have any additional questions, please reach out to our Director of Operations at: [email protected]

Dismissal

We must follow the route above to ensure a safe dismissal and be supportive of our shopping center community

How families can help: Families, we are continuing to get complaints from our neighbors about our dismissal blocking their parking spaces.

  • Cars cannot line up/be idling in front of other businesses.
  • Do NOT drive through Jaybees drivethru (unless you're using it to actually buy food :)
  • NEW: our lines will stop BEFORE the merge point.  Please do not continue to the merge point until directed to do so by a DBA staff member.
  • Do not line up your cars before 3:15 PM (1:15 PM on Fridays).
  • Please move your car (including moving out of line) for any person getting in or out of a business. Smile, wave, and support our neighbors!

  1. Download the app using the QR code below.
  2. Open the app on your smart phone & select Register a New Account at the bottom of the screen.
  3. Fill the fields for your First and Last Name. Do NOT use your student's name. This is your own guardian profile for security.
  4. Fill the Email Address field. Please use the email address provided during registration- this will be used to automatically assign your scholar to your parent/guardian profile.
  5. You will receive an email with a link to verify. Please access your email account and click the link in the email from [email protected].
  6. After you confirm your email address, please return to the Pikmykid parent app and confirm you have verified. The app will accept your verification (if completed) and continue to the next step.
  7. The next step will ask you to enter your cell phone number. Please be sure to use your own accurate cell phone number for the app to properly work & verify your account with school provided records. Please use the cell number provided in your registration.
  8. You will receive a temporary & secure code via text message to verify your ownership/access to the cell phone number. Please enter that code into your Pikmykid app to complete phone verification.
  9. The next step is to choose a secure & private password for your account. Please follow the recommended guidelines listed on your app screen for security.
  10. Once you have finished registering your account, the app will search our records to find a match between the guardian information you have provided & student records from the school.
  • If a match is found you can proceed and access your student's information in the app.
  • If a match is not found automatically, the app will request some additional basic information from you so our expert support team members can quickly help find your student's profile & help update the connection.
  • If you are someone who helps pick up students, but are not one of the primary legal guardians-- do not worry-- a connection will be made once the guardians assign you pick up responsibilities for the student in their app.
