Matthew 28:18-20 (NRSV)

“And Jesus came and said to them, ‘All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything that I have commanded you. And remember, I am with you always, to the end of the age.’”

We all recognize these final verses in the book of Matthew as the great commission. These final verses have laid out the commissioning of the disciples and all followers of Christ. As Jesus shared these parting words with the disciples, they heard his teachings, saw God's work, and received his blessing to go into the world. The disciples were commissioned with the authority to be the ones that make new disciples. The last line of this passage has always stood out to me. Jesus says, "and remember, I am with you always, to the end of the age." These words of Jesus make me think of my grandmother.

BOTTLE CAP BENCHES

Pick up a flyer (or download one below) to start collecting bottle caps for the memory benches being made for the families of those lost in the December 21, 2021 tornado. They can be found at the front door of the church or on the reception desk in the office area.

Operation Christmas Child

It's a good time for summer sales of children's clothing and school supplies for Operation Christmas Child Shoeboxes.

If you're unable to shop for shoebox items, you may designate a donation for shoeboxes and we'll have volunteers to shop for you. An offering may also be designated for the shippings costs.

Thank you for all your donations and other help with filling shoeboxes for children in need all around the world. With your donations we are helping children experience and learn about the love of Jesus!
