The Distinction Between Good and Evil

"Moral relativism only advances the cause of evil because it refuses to see a distinction between good and evil. So if you’re against guns, are you against murderers? You’re against guns. Now who wields the gun is the real question. We’ve been carrying guns everywhere. Sleeping with them by our bedside since October 7. Does that make us the same as a gun-toting terrorist? No. We’re holding the guns in order to defend our children. In order to defend ourselves. In order to defend our home. We’re not doing it because we want to kill somebody. We’re doing it because we want to prevent somebody from hurting our family. That’s why. But if you’re saying a gun is evil then you don’t understand that. Then you can’t understand them. Then you’re blinding yourself to the distinction between a murderer and a mother trying to defend herself and her family from the murderer. You can’t see the difference. You are evil if you can’t make that distinction.

The person coming to kill you is evil. The person killing that person is the hero. You can only understand that if you understand that there is a distinction between good and evil."
