Amador-El Dorado - 8 a.m. breakfast on the 4th  Tuesday of each month at Denny's, 3446 Coach Lane, Cameron Park. Contact Fran Carpenter (530) 677-2524. 8 a.m. breakfast on the  3 rd  Tuesday of each month at Denny's, in Jackson - HWY 49 and 88. Contact: Sherdean Swift (209) 223-1310.
Butte -  11:30 a.m. on the 3rd Wednesday of each month rotating between Paradise, Chico, and Oroville. The schedule for 2016:

June 15 - Oroville
July 20 - Paradise
August 17 - Chico
September 21 - Oroville
October 19 - Paradise
November 16 - Chico
December 21 - Oroville
 
Meeting locations are the Cornucopia Restaurant at 515 Montgomery Street in Oroville, Kalico Kitchen, 2396 Esplanade, Chico, and Cozy Diner at 6371 Skyway in Paradise. All CAL FIRE retirees are welcome to attend. For more information, call Doris at (530) 589-0764.
 
Fresno-Kings - 9 am. on the 1st Monday of each month at the Brooks Ranch Restaurant at Chestnut and Highway 99 in Fresno.
 
Humboldt-Del Norte - 11:30 a.m. lunch on the 1st Wednesday of each month at Bear River Casino. Take exit 692 and proceed uphill on Singley Road for a quarter mile. All retirees are welcome to attend. For more information, contact Brain Burger at (707) 725-5563.
 
Madera-Mariposa-Merced - 11:30 a.m. lunch on the 3rd Monday of each odd-numbered month at the Iron Kettle in Oakhurst, and 11:30 a.m. on the 3rd Wednesday of even numbered months at the Triangle Café in Mariposa.
Nevada-Yuba-Placer - 11:30 a.m. lunch on the 2nd Thursday of each month at Larry and Lena's, intersection of Highway 49 and Alta Sierra Drive.

San Benito-Monterey - 9 a.m. on the 3rd Thursday of each month. Contact Steve Norris at (831) 214-5538 for location information.

San Bernardino - 11:30 a.m. on the 2nd Thursday of June, September and December, at Lawns in Oak Glen. Contact: Jerry Glover (909) 421-1135.

San Diego - 11:30 a.m. on the 2nd Wednesday of every 3rd month at the Boll Weevil Restaurant, 2548 Main Street, Ramona, CA at 11:30 a.m.

2016-17 RICHARD J. ERNEST SCHOLARSHIPS
 
A reminder to all members and their dependents who wish to apply that  June 15th is the postmark deadline for the 2016-17 Richard J. Ernest Scholarship applications.

General President Harold  Schaitberger joined members of Congress May 17 at a press conference to promote legislation establishing a national fire fighter cancer registry.
