It's Time to Stand Up for our Lakes

Learn more at our Convention

The photo above (Pasqua Lake) was taken in March of 2021 by one of our PARCS members and published in the book Lake and Reservoir Management which describes the "marked blue discoloration of late winter ice on Pasqua Lake as evidence of NUTRIENT POLLUTION" in some of our lakes. One of the five authors of that article, Peter Leavitt, will be one of the speakers in the opening panel at our convention.

Also, in attendance at this opening session will be Shawn Jaques, interim President, and CEO of the Saskatchewan Water Security Agency - whom PARCS has been lobbying to establish a Saskatchewan drainage policy to help protect our lakes from nutrient pollution. We are pleased to announce that the Agency just hosted their first meeting of an interagency group charged with developing just such a policy - and that our PARCS president was present for the committee's recent first meeting.

IF YOU BELIEVE THAT COTTAGE COMMUNITIES NEED TO SPEAK UP in support of developing provincial drainage policies that will help protect our lakes, then you will want to register for this VIRTUAL opening session of our convention, scheduled for FRIDAY, OCTOBER 14 (10:00 am to noon) to learn more.

TO REGISTER, just hit CTRL Click on the following link. You will receive a form asking for your first and last name, along with your email address. Once you have registered, you will then automatically receive a link to use on the day of the convention, to join in.
