Woodland Park voters will decide Ballot Measure 2B on the November 3 ballot.
To help the community make an informed choice, the Board of Education has prepared a factual, side-by-side look at what the measure does and the main arguments both for and against it.
In short, Measure 2B would create a dedicated 0.25% city sales tax for the district's existing building debt, about a quarter of the school sales tax voters approved in 2016 and the City Council repealed in 2025.

Fall Colors Sensory Hike 2:00 - 3:30 pm
Meet at Lost Pond Trailhead
Do you know why tree leaves change color? Use your sense of sight, touch, hearing and smell to connect to changes we experience in fall on this 1 mile hike.

Guided Nature Hike 9:15 - 11:15 am
Meet at Elk Meadow Trailhead
Enjoy a 2 mile hike through the beautiful montane forest. Experienced volunteer naturalist, Penny, will be your guide to answer questions about plants, animals and park history along the way.
Big Backyard 2:00 - 3:30 pm
Meet at the Visitor Center
Discover what animals live in the park and how to identify them with their tracks and scat (poo!). This program is geared towards ages 5-12, but all are welcome.

Fall Nature Hike 9:15 - 10:45 am
Meet at School Pond Trailhead
Enjoy a peaceful hike in the woods in a quiet part of the park. This is a 1.6 mile hike (option to continue farther) with experienced volunteer naturalist, Rose.
Programs happen rain, snow, or shine unless posted otherwise.
