FRIDAY, AUGUST 29

Basic Fly Fishing 10:00 am - 12:00 pm

Meet at Dragonfly Pond Parking Lot

Learn how to fly fish and how it’s different from other styles like bait fishing, trolling, and spinning. Use your new or seasoned skills to try to catch a fish at one of Mueller’s favorite ponds. All gear is provided. Best for ages 9 and older. Parking is limited. If parking spaces at Dragonfly Pond are full, School Pond is the next closest lot.


Lunch With A Bear 2:00 - 3:00 pm

Meet at Camper Services

Learn what bears eat, play a bear food game and make and take home your own bear. Best for ages 3-5.


SATURDAY, AUGUST 30

Ponds Hike 9:15 am - 12:00 pm

Meet at Rock Pond Trailhead

Discover beautiful water features at the park. You will see 4 ponds in the park along with plants and animals that enjoy being near water. This is a 5 mile moderate hike.


Backpacking 101 For Women 2:00 - 3:00 pm

Meet at the Visitor Center

Are you interested in backpacking, but unsure where to start? This program will dive into what gear to bring, how to prepare, helpful skills while in the backcountry and more. You will also have the chance to sign up for a guided overnight backpacking trip in Mueller. For women ages 16 and older.


Programs happen rain, snow, or shine unless posted otherwise.

*All hike and walk end times are an estimate and will depend on the pace of the group.
