Some of the best gifts give us time together.
A dinner out, a class, a relaxing afternoon or tickets
to a local event can become a memory long after
the holidays are over.
As you plan your giving this year, explore the experiences offered by businesses in our mountain communities. You’ll be giving someone something to look forward to while supporting a local business.

Know Before You Vote!
Election Day is Tuesday, November 3. As a final reminder, here
is the Board of Education's factual, side-by-side summary of Ballot Measure 2B: what it does, and the main arguments both for supporting it and against.
The measure would dedicate a 0.25% city sales tax to the District's existing building debt, about a quarter of the 2016 school sales tax the City Council repealed in 2025.
This information takes no position for or against the measure; the Board encourages every voter to review the full details and decide for themselves.

Garage Floor Coating
Why due diligence matters when looking for a garage floor coating.
When homeowners take time to compare systems, they begin asking better questions.
- Does the system include a moisture-mitigating epoxy primer?
- What is the total mil thickness?
- How many coats are applied?
- Is there one clear polyaspartic topcoat or two?
- What does the warranty cover? What exclusions apply?
These questions often reveal significant differences between concrete coating systems. Homeowners should take time to compare quotes, review the full warranty in writing, understand all exclusions, ask how the system handles moisture, and evaluate the complete coating system, not just the product name.
A reputable contractor should encourage homeowners to make an informed decision, not pressure them into signing before they understand what they're buying. Call Woodland Park resident, Richard Kiedinger at 719.867.5420 or visit our website for your free quote today.

Vehicle collisions with deer (and other wildlife) spike in the week after daylight saving time ends.
Falling back to standard time shifts heavy rush-hour traffic into dark evening hours when visibility is low. Deer do not change their routines for the clock; they remain most active at dusk and dawn.
Slow Down at Dusk. Turn on your high-beam headlights when there is no oncoming traffic to better spot eye reflections along tree lines. If a deer jumps in front of your car, brake firmly and stay in your lane. Watch for Groups -- deer rarely travel alone; if you see one cross the road, expect more to follow.
Stay alert and drive carefully!
