OCTOBER 2022 MONTHLY LETTER
John 16:7 Nevertheless I tell you the truth. It is to your advantage that I go away; for if I do not go away, the Helper will not come to you; but if I depart, I will send Him to you.
Among the many things the Holy Spirit came to do, He came to help us walk in our new nature.
John 14:15-17 “If you love Me, keep My commandments. 16 And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever— 17 the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you.
The Holy Spirit helps the believer with the truth of the word of God, speaking to the man of the spirit, which is the born-again individual.
2 Corinthians 5:17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.
We are a new creation, and the Holy Spirit is well involved. The Holy Spirit helps each believer in his new life in the spirit, and his/her spiritual growth.
Colossians 3:5-10 Therefore put to death your members which are on the earth: fornication, uncleanness, passion, evil desire, and covetousness, which is idolatry. 6 Because of these things the wrath of God is coming upon the sons of disobedience, 7 in which you yourselves once walked when you lived in them. 8 But now you yourselves are to put off all these: anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy, filthy language out of your mouth. 9 Do not lie to one another, since you have put off the old man with his deeds, 10 and have put on the new man who is renewed in knowledge according to the image of Him who created him.
The new nature in the life of the believers, with the help of the Holy Spirit; or we can say it this way better, with close communion with the Holy Spirit, he or she can live the renewed life (new nature).
1 John 3:24 Now he who keeps His commandments abides in Him, and He in him. And by this we know that He abides in us, by the Spirit whom He has given us.
The Holy Spirit is constantly speaking and reminding us the things of Jesus- we must walk in obedience to His words.
John 14:25-26 “These things I have spoken to you while being present with you. 26 But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you.
The Holy Spirit is our helper. He guides and teaches us with the word how to live in this world, through our life here.
Allow the Holy Spirit to help you in your everyday life.
Remember, obedience is the life of the man of the spirit.
