CSU Pueblo's NCAA Division II championship won on December 20, 2014, has been ranked as the 48th memorable moment in Colorado's sports history as the Colorado Sports Hall of Fame recognizes outstanding achievement from a list of more than 2,000 events leading up to the state's sesquicentennial (150th) birthday on Aug. 1, the date Colorado was admitted to the Union as the 38th state in 1876. Rhonda Epper - a deeply experienced higher-education leader in Colorado, with a successful track record in Southern Colorado - began work in late March as the 17th president of CSU Pueblo. The Board of Governors of the Colorado State University System hired Epper after a national search. “I am truly honored to become part of CSU Pueblo and to make Pueblo my home,” Epper said. “CSU Pueblo has always struck me as a hidden gem, home to a caring community, dedicated faculty and staff, and students who represent the future of Colorado.
