Dear Friends,

This month, as we celebrate World Mental Health, we are excited to raise awareness about mental health issues and support those that are affected by mental health. By highlighting Jackson’s one-of-a-kind Behavioral Health Hospital, we encourage everyone in our community to take advantage of its services. Jackson Behavioral Health provides a full continuum of mental health care for children, adolescents, adults, and seniors, and also offers individual, couples, family, and group therapies.

In addition, we’re hosting our inaugural Mind Your Health event on Sunday, October 10, at Margaret Pace Park in Miami. This family-friendly event – celebrated on World Mental Health Day – will include resources and activities focused on mental health and well being, and will feature experts in the field speaking on a variety of topics.

During these challenging times, it is more important than ever that we all take care of ourselves, not just physically, but mentally, as well. We hope you will join us and spread the word about the event to your friends and family.

Sincerely,
Charmaine Gatlin

Presenting Sponsor
Florida Power & Light
We are extremely grateful FPL has been a loyal donor of Jackson Health System for decades. Throughout the years, the company has generously contributed to the growth of many programs, such as Ryder Trauma Center and the Burn Unit. Additionally, their presence at our events including our Galas, and unconditional support of the Miracle Fund emphasize their continuous commitment to bringing the best healthcare to the South Florida community.

As we traverse the pandemic, FPL once again stepped up to the plate and became the presenting sponsor for the inaugural Mind Your Health event, which will be held on October 10th, 2021 at Margaret Pace Park. As mental health issues become more and more prevalent, we appreciate the company’s support in helping us bring resources and awareness to the topic. Thank you, FPL for always partnering with us in bringing the latest technology and resources for the patients and families we serve!

Jackson West Medical Center, which opened to the public on August 2, is the first state-of-the-art medical center in Doral. The maternity unit officially opened on September 20, with celebrations for its first patients.

The Little Miracles Maternity Suites at José Milton Memorial Hospital are designed to encourage family bonding and connecting with the baby by providing an environment where mom can labor, deliver, and recover all in the comfort of the same room with the same medical team. All of our luxurious suites are private and provide comfort for mom, partner, and baby.

In addition to the Little Miracles Maternity Suites, José Milton Memorial Hospital also includes an adult and pediatric emergency room, state-of-the-art surgical facilities, diagnostic and imaging services, and specialty physician clinics.

We would like to thank the José Milton Foundation for their continued support of Jackson.
