HARK:
FOUR
SERVICES IN
SEVEN
DAYS
Sunday, December 22nd at 10:00 AM: "Joseph Knew the Christ Child Too"
At Christmas time, we hear and sing much about Gabriel and other angels ("Hark! The Herald Angels Sing"); about Mother Mary ("Mary, Did You Know?"); and about the Magi ("We Three Kings"). We even hear and sing a lot about the animals in the manger, and shepherds ("While Shepherds Watched Their Flocks"). And, of course, we hear and sing a lot about Jesus ("What Child Is This?"). But have you ever heard a song, sermon or carol about Joseph? You will this Sunday.
Tuesday, December 24th at 4:00 PM: Our Family-Friendly (but Not Family-Exclusive) Service
Let's get one thing straight: You DO NOT need to have children or even like children to attend and enjoy this. All you need is a heart, a relatively open mind, and a zany, inexpensive, wrapped gift (if you forget one, I will have a spare one stashed in my office waiting for you). HINT: a can of curried lima beans was a huge (although uneaten) hit last year! Craig Coyle offers a tour of the organ at the end of the one hour or less service.
Tuesday, December 24th at 10:45 PM:
This is our annual Christmas Eve Candlelight & Candy Cane Service. This is, for many, our most beautiful service of the year. It will end at midnight.
Sunday, December 29th at 10:00 AM:
Some people feel deflated on the first Sunday after Christmas... but not us! The sermon is titled, "Go... Run... Tell..." and it is simultaneously an admission that things are rarely (if ever) perfect, but that does not stop us from celebrating hope, love, joy, peace and Christ!

The children performed "Little Drummer Boy" for the congregation this past Sunday, and they did an amazing job! They worked very hard to try to memorize the lyrics. Thank you for bringing the children to the extra practices and thank you to the congregation for singing along!
This past Sunday
the children learned about the journey Mary and Joseph took to Bethlehem. We discussed journeys we have taken and our means of transportation and how long it took to get to our destinations. We also created gifts that we would present to Jesus once he is born. We lit the Joy candle of our Advent wreath and talked what brings us joy and what joy we can bring to others.
Next Sunday, we will be preparing for Jesus to be born. We will also discuss what brings us Peace, which is the next Advent candle to be lit.
Please join us for the 4:00 pm Christmas Eve Family Service where the children will be performing Jingle Bells for all to hear!
We wish you a very Merry Christmas Holiday!
Blessings Always,
Ms. Chrissy & Ms. Ann
Sunday School Co-Directors
