" SAINT FRED "
(Mr. Rogers: A Reluctant Hero Rises 17 Years After His Death)
First there was a very successful documentary about Mr. Rogers earlier this year. Now there is a feature film starring Tom Hanks as Mr. Rogers. Why all the fuss over him now? Is our country desperate for some Good News and a positive, lovingly delivered message? Few knew then, and few know now that Fred Rogers was an ordained Presbyterian minister. They didn't know it because he never mentioned it. He didn't have to. His message was his life; and his life was his message. This coming Sunday, December 8th at the 10am service, we will celebrate the Second Sunday of Advent with candles, cake, songs and love.
