WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE WORD IN THE LORD'S PRAYER?
I know mine. After 22 years of ordained ministry; it remains true that my favorite word in the Lord's Prayer is "Amen." This coming Sunday marks the conclusion of a series on the Lord's Prayer. The sermon title is "Amen." What a beautiful word, in any language. What a magnificent benediction on any era, episode, or experience.
Our Annual Meeting took place last Sunday because of those who showed-up to help us achieve the quorum necessary to convene. The budget was passed. People were honored for their good work. The dearly departed of the previous year were honored. Prayers were prayed. If you wish to know more, come to church and speak to your neighbor or request a copy of the minutes, when they become available, for a basic structure and notations of the proceedings.
We continue to track the COVID 19 coronavirus through conversations, the news media and by regularly monitoring the Center for Disease Control (CDC) website. So far, there is no declaration that church should be avoided IF we follow the suggested safety precautions (and we do). If we are strongly advised to forego our Sunday morning gathering at the church ~ we are in the process of learning how to conduct an Online Worship Service through which those with a computer will be able to "attend." Technology can, indeed, be wonderful. If it comes to this, instructions will be made available to you. This might be interesting and fun... for a while.
Peace, Health, and Other Blessings to You,

SUNDAY SCHOOL NEWS
The Sunday School children have been learning about The
Beatitudes
, or teachings from Jesus, that help us live in a better way. They have learned about becoming peacemakers with each other and themselves. The class colored a Peace Mandala. Even as adults, coloring can bring a feeling of being centered and at peace.
The children also heard the story of Mary washing and anointing Jesus' feet with expensive perfumed oils. This was an act of selflessness; Mary loved Jesus and wanted honor him. The children made a clay pendant and experienced different essential oil smells. They chose one they liked best to place on the pendant.
Next week we will be talking more about how Jesus served his disciples and about how he showed his appreciation to his them by washing their feet as well.
Children always like to feel part of the whole. To include the children in raising funds for the roof repair, Ms. Toni Dean has come up with "Read for the Roof" Book Club Fundraiser. We will begin this on March 15th and will have more information available next Sunday. It's a Win-Win-Win!
Calendar reminder: Starting Sunday, March 22nd, the children will be rehearsing their Easter Song offering with Mr. Craig in the Deedy Room after service.
Blessings Always,
Ms. Ann and Ms. Chrissy
