Restoring More Than Wellness!

Kevin's 4 Years at Restore & the Cryo-Plunge Event

This year, Kevin celebrates his fourth anniversary as a valued member of the Restore team, and his enthusiasm brightens the work environment, making a lasting impact on both staff and clients.

Since joining Restore, Kevin has played an important role in maintaining a welcoming and well-kept environment. Whether it's keeping the space organized and spotless or managing supplies, Kevin's commitment shines through. His most important responsibility? He’s the trusted keeper of the mailbox key, a job he takes very seriously.

But it’s Kevin’s dynamic energy that truly makes him stand out. Karen Fusco, Manager at Restore Northbrook, says it best, “Kevin is adored by both staff and clients. We’re lucky to have him on our team.”

Beyond his role at Restore, Kevin is also a Special Olympics athlete and enjoys sports trivia. He balances his work at Restore with a position at Trader Joe’s in Northbrook, demonstrating his work ethic and independence in multiple professional settings.

Kevin’s story is one of resilience, connection, and positivity - reminding us all of the incredible impact one person can have in the workplace and beyond.

Restore's Cryo-Plunge Success!

Restore Hyper Wellness's commitment to inclusion extends beyond the workplace.

The company recently raised an incredible $30,001 through its Cryo-Plunge event, with $15,000 being donated to TotalLink to Community.

This generous contribution reflects Restore’s dedication to supporting inclusive employment and empowering people like Kevin to live full lives in the community.

We are incredibly grateful to the 326 community members who participated this year at Restore's Northbrook, Deerfield, and Evanston locations.

The TotalLink team is also grateful for board member Rose Metzger, who sponsored them to take the plunge again this year!

Finding Our Voice: A Powerful Afternoon of Music and Connection

Sunlight streamed through the windows as our Girlfriends Group gathered for an afternoon of music, reflection, and connection. This wasn’t just any get-together—it was the Rhythm of Recovery, a program led by a local NAMI partner and facilitator that uses the power of song to explore mental health, self-expression, and community.

At first, there was a mix of excitement and uncertainty. Singing together felt vulnerable, and the idea of writing a song from scratch was a little intimidating. But as the afternoon unfolded, something incredible happened. The group eased into the experience—singing familiar tunes, sharing stories, and slowly, piece by piece, crafting lyrics that reflected their journey as friends and as individuals.

The result? A bold, uplifting, girl-power anthem filled with words of support, resilience, and love. The song became more than just lyrics on a page - it was a declaration of strength, a testament to the unbreakable bond they had built together. And when they sang it aloud for the first time, voices blending in harmony, there wasn’t a single person who didn’t feel its power.

At that moment, it didn’t matter that they came from different backgrounds or had faced different struggles. What mattered was that they showed up for one another, proving that even when life gets messy, true friendship means standing together, lifting each other up, and never letting go.

That afternoon was a reminder that music has the power to heal, to unite, and to remind us that no one walks this journey alone. And for our Girlfriends Group, it was an experience they won’t soon forget.
