Jonah Finds his Place at Ravinia Green County Club

When you step into the kitchen at Ravinia Green Country Club, you’ll likely hear the steady rhythm of dishes being cleaned, the hum of conversation, and, without fail, a cheerful greeting from Jonah. As a member of the back-of-house support team, Jonah has become an integral part of the Ravinia Green team, helping keep the kitchen running smoothly while bringing positivity to everyone he meets.

From his first day on the job, Jonah was welcomed like family. Though his workstation is tucked near the front of the kitchen, Jonah is far from isolated; the cooks and support staff regularly stop by to chat as they grab what they need. His partnership with Rick, a fellow dishwasher and cook, shows how teamwork fosters efficiency and friendship in the kitchen. Jonah washes, Rick dries, and together they keep things flowing.

“Jonah quickly became part of our team and brought a positive energy that everyone appreciates," shared Ravinia Green General Manager Sharon Thamm. "Working with TotalLink has been seamless. Their support and communication have made it easy to create an inclusive environment that works for everyone.”

Feeling Grateful for our Community!

Gratitude and togetherness are all around TotalLink this month! Our Community Life Programs had an incredible experience exploring the brand-new I Just Am Studio right here in Northbrook. From the moment we arrived, the studio’s warm atmosphere and creative energy inspired everyone. I Just Am Studio is a nonprofit art space that offers inclusive, hands-on opportunities for creative expression, connection, and community building, making it the perfect fit for our TotalLink community.

During the Gather and Give workshop, everyone painted, crafted, and reflected on what they’re most thankful for, sharing heartfelt moments about what community means to them. Laughter, creativity, and conversation filled the room; it was truly a day of joy and connection.

We’re thrilled to share that, starting in January, TotalLink’s art programs will be held at
I Just Am Studio! This exciting transition supports our mission to keep programs community-based and inclusive, while offering artists a professional space to grow, create, and build friendships. Together with I Just Am, we are creating spaces where creativity, connection, and community truly thrive.

We look forward to many more joyful, creative days together at I Just Am Studio!
