Employer Spotlight:

Snap Diagnostics Champions Inclusion

A Story of Growth and Confidence

Chase’s journey shows what can happen with the right opportunity and encouragement. When he first joined Snap Diagnostics, he focused on learning the basics of his role. With steady guidance from his manager, Jimmy, Chase's confidence began to grow. He mastered new responsibilities, developed an exceptional eye for detail, and quickly became one of Snap’s most reliable employees.

Today, Chase takes pride in mentoring others and contributing to the team in ways that go far beyond his original role. His story is one of growth, resilience, and the value of being seen for his strengths. As Jimmy reflects: “Watching our employees grow in confidence, develop new skills, and become more independent has been one of the most rewarding parts of my career.”

Inclusion in Action

Chase is living proof of how inclusive hiring transforms lives. The confidence he has gained, the independence he has built, and the leadership he now shares all show the ripple effect of belonging in a workplace. At the same time, Snap's willingness to provide flexible, individualized training has created the space for him to thrive.

Why It Matters

Chase’s success story highlights the power of businesses that open their doors to employees of all abilities. When individuals like Chase are supported and celebrated, they flourish—and in turn, workplaces and communities grow stronger.

Stitching Together Community: Sheila and Elizabeth's Art Lab Journey

For Sheila, Art Lab is a space where she can dive into her passion for fashion through sewing. She’s been hand-making a jacket for her nephew with expert guidance from Elizabeth, a volunteer at Art Lab.

Elizabeth brings a wealth of experience and enthusiasm to the studio. "Volunteering at Art Lab is a highlight in my week. It is a feel-good afternoon, where everyone gets to express themselves in their own way. Whether it's watercolor, acrylic markers, collage, or clay -- everyone is creating something unique and definitely having fun," shared Elizabeth.

"For the last few months, I have been helping my friend Sheila sew an adorable LINED! Dinosaur-pattern jacket for her 4-year-old nephew. We have shared a lot of laughs while sewing on an old machine, too often threading and rethreading, changing broken needles, etc. However, we are making great progress and will be moving on to buttonholes next week. (Sheila will be teaching me this one.)"

If you have any sewing supplies or a machine to donate, or if you are interested in volunteering, please reach out to Teri Rosenberg at trosenberg@totallink.org or visit our website at totallink.org/volunteer.
