A Message from Our Executive Director

2022 Reasons to Celebrate

The year 2022 has a lot of twos. The number two is known to be a symbol of prosperity, balance, teamwork, service, and partnerships. 2022 proved that to be true. Our adults thrived and prospered at their jobs in the community and gained a greater sense of purpose and belonging. Our social and educational programs provided balance and opportunities for our participants to live meaningful lives. Our volunteers contributed countless hours of service while enhancing our community. Our employment partners benefited from our job seekers’ commitment, reliability, unique perspective, and passion.

We are so proud of all that you have helped us to accomplish in 2022.

Happy Holidays to you and your family. As we look toward 2023, we are filled with hope, as the number three is known to be a symbol of joy, abundance, success, good fortune, and wisdom. We wish all these blessings for you.

Sing, Sing a Song, Sing Out Loud, Sing Out Strong!

In 2019, Sarah's Karaoke Meetup was named in honor of Sarah, a TotalLInk participant with such a love for Karaoke that for her 30th Birthday, she asked for donations to TotalLink to re-launch our monthly Karaoke Meetup.

Sarah's fundraiser was a success, and participants have been proudly singing together for over 3 years.

In November, TotalLink was happy to partner, for the first time, with Madame ZuZu’s in Highland Park for Sarah’s Karaoke Meetup! Participants, families, and community members gathered together and sang their favorite songs while enjoying beverages and a delicious meal.

We'd love to see you at Sarah’s Karaoke Meetup this winter! This event is hosted by Madame ZuZu's and all are welcome to join us at this community event.

Meet Sam.

As you watch this inspiring video about Sam, know it is because of YOU that he has the opportunity to build his best life. He has a job, friends, social and learning opportunities, and a community that supports him.

"Sam didn't have friends from high school, and now he has friends. He has friends that call him, that make plans with him, that he calls to make plans with. It's so simple, but not that simple," Nancy Needlman, mother of TotalLink participant Sam.

YOU can help create opportunities for other young adults like Sam to thrive by working, socializing, and contributing to their communities - and making their workplaces and communities better for it.

DOUBLE YOUR IMPACT - Thanks to a grant from a generous benefactor, each new or renewed gift between now and December 31, 2022, will be matched up to $7500!

Medline Employees Join TotalLink for a Volunteer Day

On December 1, we had a great time at our volunteer Make Day with TotalLink participants and members of Medline's Disability Employee Resource Group.

The volunteers joined us in honor of International Day of Persons with Disabilities and worked with our participants to create Total Goodness giving plates and helped label TotalLink's holiday cards. They also enjoyed a hot chocolate station and playing games together.
