Last June, Julie was thrilled to get back to work at her job at Mark Drugs. She has worked at the store in Wheeling since 2017 where she greets customers, faces shelves and products, shreds documents, and stuffs billing envelopes. She was off for over fifteen months due to the pandemic. “I was so excited to get back to work,” said Julie. “There was nothing to do at home.”
“When Julie arrives at work it is the bright spot in everyone’s day,” said Mark Drugs' President and CEO, Alan Sear. “She walks in and greets everyone by name in her caring and honest nature. She makes each of us feel important because we are important to her.”
Sear explained that working with TotalLink has been a win-win for the medical supply company.
"TotalLink helped to train and build a job that Julie can work at and be independent."
As she started back at her job, Julie had the support of her TotalLink job coach, Teri Rosenberg, who assisted her with getting reacquainted with her position and responsibilities. “Working with Julie was a pleasure because the staff at Mark Drugs were so welcoming to Julie when she returned to work post-pandemic. She jumped right in and was able to get back to work,” said Teri.
