Weinberg Community for Senior Living

According to Forbes.com, 80% of all job seekers are hired through their personal or professional networks. Thanks to our community and network, Dan, a TotalLink job seeker, landed a job at Weinberg Community for Senior Living. A TotalLink supporter connected us to the hiring manager at Weinberg Community for Senior Living after reading about Dan and his job search. Now, Dan is employed as a Dining Services Associate. He provides food delivery service to residents’ rooms, helps transport residents to and from activities, and assists with setting up and cleaning the dining and activity rooms. More importantly for Dan, he has the opportunity to meet residents and socialize. Congratulations to Dan and the Weinberg Community for Senior Living on a qualified new hire!

Special Guest Artists Visit TotalLink ArtLab

ArtLab for EveryONE welcomed guest artists Eileen Pearlman and Heidi Ross to collaborate with our artists on the pour-over painting technique. They demonstrated two different pour-over methods and taught about specific vocabulary related to this art medium. They also learned about color selection, blending and layering colors, and how to safely use a torch to create the "cells."

All the artists were in awe of the abstract pieces they created! The TotalLink artists' pour-over paintings will be available for purchase at the Revelry auction. Visit totallink2.org/revelry on November 1 to check out our artists' work and all our other silent auction items.

Northbrook Artists StudioTour, 2022

The Northbrook Arts Commission hosts an annual Studio Tour to allow community members to visit local studios, meet local artists, and view their work.TotalLink artists are participating in this event and will showcase their work on November 5, 2022, between 12 pm and 4 pm at 1200 Shermer Rd. Suite 109, Northbrook, IL 60062. Maps to all the artists' studios are available at the Northbrook Village Hall or the Northbrook Library. They can also be downloaded from Northbrook Artists Tour 2022. We hope to see you there!

Visit TotalLink's Disability Empowerment Art Exhibit featuring 15 pieces from 10 artists. The exhibit is open to the public and on display through November 10, 2022.
