Thank you to everyone who came out for our 2nd Annual Golf Outing on September 17th at Stonewall Orchard Golf Club. We had a beautiful day with nearly 90 golfers joining us to support TotalLink2 Community.

for the Volunteerz Challenge
TotalLink was invited to be a part of the Pfizer Virtual Volunteerz Challenge this year. The event was a great opportunity to introduce TotalLink to members of the Pfizer community while engaging the Pfizer staff in a volunteer activity to support TotalLink. Our virtual volunteer event included Community Action Team meetings for two of our TotalLink job seekers, Kathleen and Jack.

Community Action Team meetings bring together an inclusive community with a shared commitment of using customized employment strategies to help create work opportunities - one person and one employer at a time. The volunteer events provided TotalLink the opportunity to celebrate the gifts and talents of Kathleen and Jack and all they have to offer the employment world while creating a circle of engaged community members to help support their goals.

Jonathan Rauwerda
TotalLink is blessed to have such a wonderful community of dedicated staff and facilitators. Each month we look forward to introducing you to one of our fabulous facilitators.

This month we would like to introduce you to Jonathan Rauwerda.
Q. How long have you been a facilitator at TotalLink?
A. I have been a facilitator at TotalLink for 3 fun-filled years! 
Q. How did you get involved with TotalLink?  
Great question… Around 5 years ago, I met a number of the administrative team while working with a mutual participant. Since that time, I’ve had the opportunity to present alongside Janice Weinstein (founding member and former Executive Director), work 1:1 with a number of TotalLink participants, facilitate, and learn a lot of valuable insight from the Total Link team! 
Q. What programs are you currently facilitating? What have you facilitated in the past?
A. I currently facilitate Saturday Night with the Guys formerly known as "Guy’s Night In." Prior to Saturday Night with the Guys, I’d occasionally co-facilitate with Drew Philips for "Guys Night Out." 
Q. What is your favorite part about being involved with TotalLink? 
A. The connections I've made with everyone involved! From the participants, their families, the administrative staff, and employer partners. It's been a positive, fun and enjoyable experience since day one.
Q. Tell us a little bit about yourself.  
A. I’m Canadian, EH! I moved to the Chicago area 12 years ago and live with my beautiful wife and daughter in Elmhurst. 
I am a behavior therapist and own my own consulting business called Behavioral Consulting. Prior to starting my business, I worked various positions within the non-profit sector including being a DSP, QIDP, Assistant Director, and Acting Director. These experiences have allowed me to become well versed within the IDD non-profit world, and made me an overall better behavior therapist.
In my free time, I love to run, kayak, travel, and spend time with my family.
Q. What is a fun fact about you that not many people know?  
A. I am a fresh and brackish water aquarist (fish keeper). Pre-kiddo, I had six different fish tanks including one that housed a fresh water stingray. Post-kid, I've scaled back to one tank!

Nina Santacrose - ArtLab for EveryONE
TotalLink is proud to have our artists' work on display at Georgie V's located at 1130 Church Street in Northbrook. Make sure you stop by for breakfast or lunch and check out all of the work from the talented TotalLink artists!

We are excited to share a preview of Nina’s artwork that is currently on display at Georgie V’s. 

Nina enjoys creating art that makes you feel happy. Art allows her to relax and just enjoy creating. She likes using markers and watercolors and gets inspiration from nature and animals.

"When people view my work I want them to feel happy and relaxed. Creating art is a way for me to communicate and express my feelings." - Nina
