I guess you’ve noticed “it’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas.” That has always been one of my favorite Christmas carols. Yes, it’s true there are (as the song* goes) toys in every store: “dolls that’ll talk and will go for a walk” and “a pair of hop-along boots and a pistol that shoots.” I love these little images. There’s certainly something magical about Christmas, isn’t there.

Yet often as a single mom during this season we just need a little booster shot for making it through the season with joy and a godly perspective concerning where this holiday might find us in life.

In this month’s The Link , we hope you’ll find just what you need in making this Christmas a memorable one. Maybe you’ll feast on the podcast about stress or enjoy the article about the holiday symbols. Whatever the case, feel assured that we love having you in our Arise family and pray above all that you experience firsthand the nearness of Jesus. After all, that’s why we celebrate!

Hugs to you,
