Employer Spotlight: Jane Energy in Action at Chief’s Pub

Jane has been bringing her signature “Jane-energy” to Chief’s Pub since April 2025, working Wednesday mornings as the lunchtime hostess. Jane became interested in the role after visiting frequently with her family, seeing it as an opportunity to grow her people skills and connect with others.



She prepares the restaurant, wipes menus, sets table caddies, and seats guests. In addition to this role, Jane works at Wellness Solutions and Sunset Foods in Lake Forest, where her strong work ethic stands out.

Owner Jenna Knesset says, “The staff and customers truly enjoy having Jane here on Wednesdays. She arrives ready to work, always with a smile, and brings a positive energy that is felt throughout the space.”

Emily and Lauren recently visited the Northbrook Public Library to lead an engaging Disability Awareness and Sensitivity Workshop for staff.

They shared practical, real-world strategies to help make the library even more welcoming and inclusive for everyone who walks through its doors.
